Discover Copenhagen – The Excitement of Tivoli

Visitors to Tivoli – sometimes called Tivoli Gardens – in Copenhagen can expect an experience like they have never had before. As one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, it has a wonderful mix of new with old, including a wooden rollercoaster that’s been operating for nearly a hundred years and is, of course, still in perfect condition.

As one of Europe’s most popular attractions, Tivoli sees more than four million visitors of all ages as the park has something for everybody. As well as Rutsjebanen, the wooden roller coaster, there are thrilling modern attractions such as The Demon, which is a high-speed looping ride for which you need plenty of nerve and if you have a head for heights you can try out the tallest carousel in the world!

The park also operates as an event venue, hosting cultural performances in its concert hall and featuring many seasonal attractions including Christmas markets. But there doesn’t have to be a special event taking place for the Tivoli Gardens to be a wonderful place to visit. In addition to the rides, there are some of the most picturesque and romantic settings to be found, with the stunning architectural beauty of the Nimb Palace Hotel and the lakeside Chinese Tower.
